Sharing a very delicious, simple, rich, and royal sweet made with only three main ingredients. Khova coconut ladoo is a quick and delicious sweet that you can make for Holi.

This khova coconut ladoo is richer, melts in your mouth, and is simple to make. The combination is simply amazing and delicious. You'd never be able to resist eating this one. I am sure of it. A fantastic and easy recipe to brighten up your Holi.

I love khova sweets but have never found good fresh khoya here; I used to make khoya at home from scratch whenever I felt like eating. However, finally I found good fresh khova at an Asian supermarket and decided to make this laddoos and a few other dishes with it. Stay Tuned. 😊

Ingredients:

  • Mawa/khowa – 1 cup (crumbled)
  • Raw coconut – desiccated 2 cup + 2 tablespoon for rolling.
  • Powdered sugar - 1 cup
  • Cardamon Powder – ¼ tsp
  • Milk – 2 tbsp
  • Ghee – 2 tbsp

Preparation Method:

  1. Being khoya to room temperature if you had stored it in fridge. Crumble the khova well
  2. Heat 1 teaspoon ghee in a pan. Add the crumbled khova and saute well in low flame for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add 1/4 cup sugar and mix well. Cook in low flame till the sugar dissolves and mixture turns in soft mass.
  4. Add the desiccated coconut and mix well. Add cardamom powder. Mix well and cook till all the moisture is gone.
  5. Remove the mixture to a bowl. let it cool down a bit. 
  6. When it's warm Apply some ghee to your palms and make small ladoo from the mixture. 
  7. Now roll each ladoo in the leftover coconut.
  8. You can store the ladoos for 8-10 days in the refrigerator.
