Hot Chocolate Lolly Sticks melt-in-the-mouth recipe

We all know a few die hard chocolate fans - make them one of these hot choc sticks and gift them

Since my youngest kid turned one, I have made these little goodies on a stick as part of a Hot Chocolate Bar for her birthday party every year and it’s always a big hit. This recipe works with really whatever chocolate you prefer. Bittersweet, Dark, Semisweet, Milk, or a combination of them.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g chocolate slab
  • 20 g cocoa
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1/8th tsp salt
  • Few mini marshmallows or crushed candy canes for topping (optional)
  • Coloured sprinkles

Preparatio

1.Chop up the chocolate into small, similarly sized pieces. Melt chocolate on double boiler or microwave

2.NowAdd sugar, salt and cocoa powder and mix till the mixture is smooth.

3.Now Pour the mixture into a piping bag or ziplock bag, (cut off corner of ziplock bag if using) and fill the ice tray.

4.Insert stick into the chocolate and add toppings if using.

5.Chill the ice tray in freezer for 15 mins till it hardens and then demould.

 To make hot chocolate:

  1. In a cup of hot milk, stir the chocolate stick till it completely dissolves.
  2. Enjoy!
